Sometime, one actually has to jump in...

Fortunately, yes...There was a scare about a broken vertebra but it turned out it was OK...a ride to remember though... Your filter set arrived yesterday. I will keep them as a remembrance from "the time it was not, yet" Although I can't obviously vouch on their performance, I must...

An ejection seat. I had the "privilege" of using one of these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin-Baker_Mk.6 PK

Excellent pointers, John...much appreciated.:) As for "if you possess the hand eye coordination skill set to fly a Phantom", being an airline captain and ex-fighter pilot who actually also rode a Martin Baker during an ejection, if anything, I might be overqualified :D FK

True, I am sure....hence my continuous enthusiasm, even if only from the sidelines. ...but, at the moment, from reading about the P3, one gets the feeling that there only two types of owners: The ones that already know tragedy and the ones that will experience it in the future, be it on account...

Sometime, one actually has to jump in...

Guys, I just cancelled my order. I am still very grateful for your inputs but, over the last 48 hours, I kept reading bad-ending stories that, together with the increasing perception of DJI as a very poor customer-oriented company, made me step back. 1800 EUR for the bundle I ordered is...

Already ordered these: http://phantomfilters.bigcartel.com/product/5-pack-1-polarizer-filter-4-neutral-density-filters-for-dji-phantom-3-professional-advanced They come from Denmark, so no Customs involved on these ones... PK

Makes sense...So, I guess the "landed" status is given by the VPS...Thanks! :) PK

Sometime, one actually has to jump in...

Ok...Got it, thanks. ...but how about the instruction to "left stick down for 3 seconds" to stop the motors?...Does that only happen if the a/c is landed...?...What happens if we do it while flying? PK

Sometime, one actually has to jump in...

Thanks...Keep them coming...:D Meanwhile, starting with the basics, I am going through DJI's P3 tutorials on YouTube. It seems that CSC is used to start the motors on the P3. However, the "How to Fly" tutorial shows a "land first, then left control down for 3 seconds or more" procedure to stop...

Sometime, one actually has to jump in...

I was toying with the idea of getting a quadcopter for aerial video for a long time...2 years, at least... First, it was the "meh" cameras of the early Phantoms, than it was the "Wow! but very expensive" vibe from the Inspire 1 but now that DJI came up with this almost perfect balance between...

    TB48 limited availabilty.

I am an airline captain and, in fact, there are limits to Lithium Ion/Metal to be carried aboard commercial aircraft. Between 100-160wh energy capacity, only two can be carried in carry-on (cabin) baggage, if dully protected from short circuits. In fact, 3 can be transported, as the third one...

    TB48 limited availabilty.

I live in Portugal and log in to DJI site and store with a "Portugal, Language English" identifier. Somehow, the TB48 lists as "not available to your geographic location". Do you guys know any reason why?...Every other items seem to be available, so why this limitation? Thanks. PK
