    quadcopter for practice

I'm surprised the IMAGES didn't get him in trouble. If you were caught taking pictures or movies near a bridge, building or subway in New York you would be arrested in a heartbeat at the very least. If you were a complete *** about it the Feds would probably shoot you dead. PF

    quadcopter for practice

I've sold my Phantom, as it did not suit my temperament as a hopeless pattern plane flier. If I'm not yanking something across the sky at high speed, (more likely than not, low and inverted) I'm not a happy camper. Unfortunately, I learned to fly planes first. I'm having a bit of difficulty...

    quadcopter for practice

Tried Heli-X, the 64 bit version...it loaded the Realflight controller driver and recognized it, but there was no response from the program to my attempt at calibrating the sticks. Nothing in the program moved, although the program was running (apparently) nominally. A default helicopter...

    quadcopter for practice

LadyKate: I use RealFlight 7 as a simulator, and I'm not at all impressed with the limited quadcopters available to fly. I have the proprietary Realflight USB connector from my Futaba to the computer. Can I use THAT USB connection, or do I need to buy/build some other to work specifically...

You most definitely will want to make sure that your firmware is all up to date, and perform all the calibration routines. Make sure your Phantom is dead still and perfectly level. During calibration THAT is when "level" of all axis are set in the mind of the flight computer. Start there. if...

DJI/NAZA in this story videoing African wildlife - MUST SEE

Re: DJI/NAZA in this story videoing African wildlife - MUST Yeah, that would not be pleasant...assuming anything was left of it after being mauled by a lion or hyena. I'm surprised the animals aren't spooked by the sound of the props. I remember one member (OI Photography, I...

On the assumption you have enough battery power to ascend to that height. If the bird needs to "Go Home" late in the flight... oh well. Phantoms have been lost that way! PF

DJI/NAZA in this story videoing African wildlife - MUST SEE

The pilot is using FPV (Fatshark) and what looks like a GoPro attached to a DJI Flamewheel in this video featured on MSN. http://msnvideo.msn.com/?channelindex=8 ... 1e36ef6bed PF

If you are taking off with add-ons that shift the center of gravity forward, backwards, or to to one side, you would do well to establish that new CG location and input the information into the NAZA Assistant so that the flight computer knows where the CG is in relation to the gyros. If not...

    Real World Flight Times

I don't go through the board classification. Not even sure how to do that. I usually click on "View Active Topics" when I visit this forum to see what folks are most interested in talking about OR I click on "View Your Posts" to follow up on threads I've rung in on. Sorry if I ruffled any...

    Real World Flight Times

Who says it's a P1 or P2 thread? The subject is "Real World Flight Times" not "Phantom 2 Real World Flight Times." Both versions can be flown stock or loaded up with various combinations of accessories. This thread should be informational for all Phantom owners. PF

YES! Do NOT execute any CSC upon landing. Just settle the bird in and once on the ground, take your hands off the controller. In 3 seconds time the motors/props will stop turning. Common newbie mistake. PF
