So 2 of the 3 batteries I was able to salvage. Learned how by looking at info here in these forums.
Basically if you have a single blinking light that stays blinking after you turn on the battery, in other words stays on, then you can usually recover but it can take many attempts.

Thanks I can try the classifieds. I have 1 it came off my newer v2 motor P3P. I just need another one. The metal ring is there to reduce signal noise as it’s placed in between 2 plastic tabs on the gray plastic gimbal mount that mounts to the P3P. The tabs kind of hold it there. The tabs...
Not sure if the later P3A’s came with this but the P3P’s did. DJI modified the wire cable that goes from the gimbal to the VPS module. They made it longer and included a metal ring around it to reduce signal noise.
I can’t seem to find that online anywhere. All I see are pictured...
Got a good deal on P3 batteries probably almost 2 yrs ago. Stocked up and had been maintaining them at 50% charge since then. They were stored not in use but maintained.
Anyway decided to but them in a P3 so I could look at cycles from the GO app. Low and behold even though they indicated 2...
Thought I'd grab a new Nvidia Shield K1 to mess with mainly beacause it has HDMI out and can mirror to the HeadPlay Goggles I have. This was to eliminate screen reflections and general tablet brightness issues. I've used Apple devices up until now.
The K1 is fine but it's no iPad. The GO App...
Oh forgot to mention the whole USB device detection when pluggin in the RC to the K1. I know it's an Android thing but a seamless experience it is definetely not, what a train wreck that was to figure out.
Long time iPad user here with DJi drones. Quite simply always had pleasant and smooth usability with GO on iPads.
Got a wild hair and bought a new Shield K1 the other week as I wanted to try HDMI out from it to my Headplay goggle (THE ultimate no-glare solution). As you all probably know...
Brake also effects the P3's ability to hold in strong winds. You wouldn't think so but this is absolutely true. I had mine dialed all the way down and fly in high winds with extra weight and the thing drifted with the wind even when in GPS mode. Just making sure you note that is all.
I think I read in another thread that DJi notified dealers the P3 line and P4 (non-Pro) were being discontinued. Makes sense now I imagine the P4 Advanced will replace the P4 non-Pro in the lineup.
I had a BB battery do the same thing. I returned it. If by chance you got the battery on the $50 price match with GameStop make sure you don't get a refund but instead have them replace the battery (either with stock or order).
