    Man charged

Here's a more reputable source: Heathrow: Man charged with flying drone near airport If the person charged is guilty then he would have to be a serious level of stupid to fly near a airport let alone after the chaos at Gatwick. BBC states he was from Hillingdon so not only is he close to...

    Really choppy video feed

Are you using the iOS or Android version of DJI Go? I had a similar issue with my Employers new Phantom 4 Pro V 2.0 where the issue was the Android version of DJI Go. I couldn't work out why video was so laggy on my phone and Nexus 7 II when on my own P4P V1 there was no issue. Then I tried my...

This isn't normal, or is it?

Does it only do this in GPS mode? Have you tried hovering in Atti? As others have suggested try it again in a wide open field where there horizon is visible and not obstructed by trees, buildings etc ensuring you have at least 12 sats locked before taking off in GPS mode.

    Battery Wobble - P4P Refurbished

I can't believe phantompilots allows such blatant aggressive product promotion and spamming of threads. Ironically when I did try looking at his website but I got a message stating "Due to recent regulations we do not currently offer our products to European customers.".

    Battery Wobble - P4P Refurbished

Definitely worth getting the store or DJI to replace it. My concern was that much play there was a greater chance of a secured battery popping loose during flight.

    Battery Wobble - P4P Refurbished

I've only had the drone a few days so I've arranged to return it. From the logs it had only been used a couple of times before ending up at a DJI repair centre. The phantom wet suits look interesting, just unfortunate as I am in the UK the site states "Due to recent regulations we do not...

    Battery Wobble - P4P Refurbished

I know the p4p v2 includes a sensor which gets upset if the battery comes loose. This may prevent some users who haven't secured it properly/ give an extra log item to indicate the cause of a crash. Now if there was a failsafe internal battery that could land/ return to home if it dumped a...

    Battery Wobble - P4P Refurbished

I recently purchased a refurbished P4P. I own also own a P4. I haven't flown the P4P yet, I have been inspecting it and checking it over. I have noticed a worrying amount of play in the battery bay. It is the same with the P4's batteries. The battery has very little play when in my P4. My...

    Employer PfCO and Sole PfCO

Thank you for the reply. This is how I thought I would go about it. Once I have submitted the PfCO for my employer I will enquire with the NQE about a self employed operation. I'll keep this thread updated.

    Employer PfCO and Sole PfCO

Hi My employer is wanting to obtain a PfCO with myself as the sole pilot. If in the future I were to want to take on work privately with my own equipment would I be able to obtain a PfCO trading as self employed? Effectively I would be listed on two PfCO. Thank you

    Phantom 4 Vs Phantom Pro?

The phantom 4 is a great platform, if this was released when I bought mine I'd have splashed extra for the improved camera alone. The collision sensors on mine rarely trigger, the only time they do read anything is when I occasionally step in front of it after landing. Flying in open spaces I...

Poor Casey Neistat Lost his Mavic Pro

What I would take issue with is that he is advocating unsafe use of UAS flying in areas that are less than ideal (illegal?) and to top it off has little to no knowledge how to operate the equipment before turning it on (Autofocus on the Mavic, calibration etc).

Poor Casey Neistat Lost his Mavic Pro

Nope those get abused too. He also has a wall of dead Cannon's. Are you suggesting casey's use or "misuse" of drones is just? Do the ends justify the means as long as it is done in the name of creativity and self expression?

Poor Casey Neistat Lost his Mavic Pro

Casey seems very careless with all of his equipment. I am unsure whether this is all "staged" but with multicopters (drones) something which can cause injury and/or damage to property if not used correctly his advocating a careless and care free attitude to their usage is worrying.

WARNING its the "DEATH OF DRONES" 50m height & 100m range limit if EASA pass these new RULES

It's very concerning and scary the lack of understanding the EASA have. There seems to be no reason for them to even want to legislate these very restrictive measures. Are EASA wanting to create a commercial European UAV airspace (60m - 120m)? It is no secret Amazon and a lot of couriers are...
