I shut everything down and waited awhile. Fired everything up to do the post update IMU recalibration. I received a recalibrate IMU message which I did not receive before. Recalibrated IMU and the aircraft requires upgrade error went away. All is well.

I just tethered to update tx. Tx started beeping and blue light came on. I walked away and came back when the beeping stopped (update complete). My gimbal was pointing down and making the buzzing noise like when it moves, yet it wasn't moving. This continued after the update was installed...

Same here. Updated to Go app, then drone and controller. Updates installed successfully. Now I get update message in the app.

I use UAV stickers as well. Really nice. Maybe a noob question, but why are your rear arm lights red? EDIT Okay I had to go RTFM. Made me remember that the rear lights are also the status indicators. Guess that I am always used to seeing them green or watch the tablet screen for status...

I use a Nexus 7 and Note 3. Google Services have not been rolled back and I still cannot connect. Windows Movie Maker is great. However, I have heard that it has been discontinued and not available with Windows 10. That's keeping me from upgrading until I look into this further.

If I recall from his website he linked to in another discussion, it seems he flies from various locations around the world. So compass calibrations may be in order.

You were flying before the imu warmed up? Wouldn't that be before the green "safe to fly" message came on?
