Probably metal screws or hangers in the deck. My deck has them. I take off from and land on it all the time. The readings are a little off sometimes when it is on the deck, but clear up a very short distance away. Never noticed any problems other than an occasional little uncommanded jump up...

Everybody has different vision capabilities. I would also be skeptical of anyone seeing a Phantom at that distance, but I have kept mine in sight to well over 6000 feet away. That was with a hill in the background and I kept it in front of some dark green pine trees so I could continue to see...

Exactly, the pictures are OK. But the videos are awesome! Record video with the aircraft stationary before you switch to still photo mode and take the shot. On your computer, or whatever you use to view your photos, compare how the photo looks with the video of the same scene.

These photos look a lot like mine on a P3A. The problem for me is that photos on my P3A aren't as good as video captures. I'm no expert on such things by any means, but that seems wrong in my experience. How can a 4000x3000 still not look as good as a 1920x1080 video capture? I'm very happy...

That's what was said above. I didn't understand it either at first because my P3A sticks both return to center. Apparently the P3S remote is like the standard RC transmitters that have the throttle stick with no return spring.

He accidentally let the left stick remain all the way down. There's usually a lot of things we could have done differently in hindsight, but in the excitement of the moment... Been there, done that.

That's what I don't understand. How can the left stick stay in the down position?

Yeah, that's the only place I found it too.
