It's actually a joint recommendation (400' max, line-of-sight flying only and not flying over populated areas) from the FAA and the AMA.
It doesn't like anything to get too excited about. Let's move on (not an order, just a recommendation). Lol!
Well, I did read the whole thing, and more from reading articles available on-line.
The context of this proposed legislation is about spying and gathering info on people - invasion of privacy, basically. It has nothing to do with sport flying or enjoying your Phantom.
What's "chilling" about it? We all have privacy rights and this is supportive of protecting those rights. I really dig doing my FPV but if I'm doing it to gather information about what others' are doing then shame on me!
