    Hairline Cracks

The guards I believe do a lot due to longer screws and backing for plastic mount under base. I have had a P3A for 1 year now and no cracks.just gotta be careful on over tightening screws.

    Hairline Cracks

A small file and epoxy resin would do pretty well. file into crack most of way with an angle of 45 degrees clean and apply epoxy. Would be similar to a partial penetration weld on plastic.I broke my landing gear a year ago and used this option.Tough as nails. GL

Catastrophic design flaw of Phantom 3

Have not had to do this yet on this stage ! although very familiar with welding. I had a cracked landing gear leg and purchased jb weld epoxy(for plastic) for that application. Took a small file and ground in just short of root of crack .Cleaned it very well with an all purpose cleaner and...

Catastrophic design flaw of Phantom 3

Totally believe in the prop guards to reinforce motors. Longer screws and pulls both thin arm plastic and thicker guard plastic together as 1. No stress cracks yet here either (knock on wood),my remedy is to snug all screws like a spark plug than give 1/8 more turn in a x pattern on each arm.

Catastrophic design flaw of Phantom 3

You can get snap on prop guards. I have them but always fly with guards on just in case for extra protection.

Catastrophic crash tonight - Phantom 3 Pro destroyed!!

That is true I would guess maybe the flyer held the 2 joy sticks inward @ 7 and 4 o'clock, and u would have too hold for 2 plus seconds.Who knows really feel bad for owner

Catastrophic design flaw of Phantom 3

A good fix for that may be to fly with prop guards 2 allow for secondary plastic reinforcement ! You can still get the bird home and see the cracks if they occur. I fly with them on all the time thinking of what might happen. Very thin plastic to mount to without,my guards add another 1/4 " with...
