I just got off the phone with dronexpert. They sent me an email on Thursday saying that my vision gimbal had shipped and would arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week... Arg... Now they're saying (in very bad english) that they are delaying another week because I was processed incorrectly...

I just did the update. It's a pretty easy process on a Mac. If you've got Windows, I've read on here that it's pretty simple too just a couple more steps.
This sounds like a serious problem. Have you tried reinstalling the firmware on the controller (the P2V) and the transmitter? Also deleting the app on your mobile device and re-downloading it? I wouldn't suggest flying on manual mode unless you've flown an rc heli without a gimbal.
I got this because the dronexpert version retains the tilt function along with the 7e channel additional lever on the back of the transmitter. I'm not really sure that the rotorpixel allows you to do this. You also might be waiting for a while. Think about all the ramping up that has to happen...
