Strange thing happened few days ago.
I tried to discharge my battery to 50% since i knew I was not going to fly for few days, so I took it for a spin (actually hover) in my backyard and hoped I could get the sunset.
I had 9-10 sats on my screen went up about 100 feet up and stayed there for few...
Prices on computer used to drop almost every 3 months. And if you wanted features at this moment you pays higher price.
So goes for most electronics.
Now, I still think the P4 is overpriced and with today uncertain future of the hobby it's seems to be just for suckers ( no pun intended ).
Yes, it was abroad. Regardless, same could have happened here. My point FAA would not prevent it at all.
If look at the picture our Phantoms are just a tad larger than human head and mostly plastic. Would not do such a damage as the truck.
My point is we are getting screwed out of the hobby.

And where the hell is FAA???!!! Oh yeah people could have died but as long the car is touching ground its ok. What if it jumped on a bump I would consider it airborne and not registered :-(

HAHA, yes can be permitted but you will be able to fly ONLY in designated area, so kiss goodbye your local, state parks (already a NFZs)

I still think they should go after stupid REALLY endangering people or property but not some weekend flyer trying to impress his wife/girfriend with some cool video.
Their rule should be simple, you screw up badly you are to pay the price.

I realize that most people here maybe involved in business using copters and may seek an exemption to fly anywhere, but here are some of us who are in this hobby for years of safe flying.
After FAA ruling it looks like they could not simply ban UAVs they really banned us through the back door...

You are standing on a private land, you are scaring local crows and other wild life, someone called about noise, the dogs are barking etc.
Heard some stories before. This is why the guidance rules are so vague, any interpretation can be stretched to fit them.
