Its the plug and play version with the IMU side mounted but I have hot glued it completely horizontal and vertical. Its perpendicular to the shell with 6 point calibration.
I had the ragecam lens mod with lens filter attachment which puts it WAY front heavy. Unable to balance without...
This might not be the right place but I have one I am selling. $175 and I will pay shipping. I've only had it in the air twice and for very short periods of time. Bottom line with mine is my camera has been modded so much its way too heavy for the gimbal and I can not get proper balance even...
Re: New Plug-N-Play 3DPower Gimbal (aka Taco Supreme)
How do you re-balance a camera on a gimbal that is sitting limp without power? I have a Came-7000 gimbal for my DSLR and its easy to balance the 3 axises without power but how do you balance a two axis gimbal? I have the ragecam upgrade...
Exactly! I posted the same thought on another topic last night. Companies like RP wouldn't even be in existence had DJI released this version initially. They grossly underestimated the demand for better/stable video now they cut the nuts off 3rd party gmbal makers and used there current P2V...
My guess is the optics are the same just packaged in a different case with some control board mod to narrow the video side FOV. Probably still the same ole FC200 base cam.
Sure its an upgrade but it all boils down to cost vs benefit. Think about it, would RP even be in existence if the P2V+ was released 4 months ago instead of the P2V? I think the market will pretty much react and RP's order pipeline will dry up rather quickly. DJI will no longer be selling the...
Why? Just get a taco supreme or RP and you get the stable video without having to fork out a bunch more cash to DJI on something you just bought 8 weeks ago. Doesn't make sense to me.
Re: New Plug-N-Play 3DPower Gimbal (aka Taco Supreme)
If you just want photos from your Vision, its not worth the upgrade. If you want video, it absolutely is. Unless you are ready to drop the cash on the new V+ then thats another story.
Good point but I already have 2 Visions. Like I said, the only way to (somewhat) future proof yourself is to build your own and invest everything in a great frame and high end gimbal. The rest is easily upgradable. However, for those that need and want a RTF, the Vision or V+ is probably the way...
DJI VASTLY underestimated the demand for stable video and here we are within 120 days of launching the P2V they launch this product to stomp out gimbal demand and try to suck our wallets from more $. Sorry, I wont be buying one. I'll stick with my two P2V's and continue my plans to build an octa...
