Re: A Few Pics that wanted to share: really impressed with O
Yes, that would only solve MY problem. But I want to raise awareness of the crap DJI is putting out.
This is not about the quality of the camera (I knew that I wasn't getting myself a high end camera). I want people out there to know...
P2V+ ignores all camera settings made in the smartphone app.
I had my copter sent to DJI in order to be "repaired" because the white balance settings didn't stick.
Long (very long) story short, my dealer confirmed that DJI told him that no matter what you set in the app, the camera just...

I knew from the very beginning, that the camera was not on a high quality level, let alone DSLR quality.
And before purchasing the P2V+ I did read the manual because I wanted to know if it would allow for something else than Auto White Balance. And sure enough, the manual describes how you can...
Obviously it's a consumer level camera. No doubt about that. And I knew that also when I purchased the Phantom. The added advantage of having FPV via my phone was the thing that made me buy the P2V+.
However, not being able to have a camera that respects a setting is a huge disappointment. And...
It's definitely NOT worth the money but DJI's support is completely worthless. I have a hard time recommending DJI products, everything seems a bit half-done... the manual, the erratic software updates, their support. I don't know..not a trustworthy company I want to give my money to.
Yes, the camera sucks. It can get somewhat decent results, when conditions are perfect. But other than that - forget it.
But my beef is not so much with the camera itself (I kind of knew that the quality was below a GoPro) but how DJI is handling things.
First saying, "Yes this camera behaviour...
Hello everyone!
I just want a place to share my story about the camera on my P2V+
First off, everything is fine with flying it. No crashes so far *knock on wood*. It flies beautifully and everything. I just have one issue. The white balance setting of the camera.
After the initial test flights...
Hi everyone!
I've searched the forum up and down and read everything in the manual about ground station but can't find any info on this.
What happens if I set up a ground station mission, the quad takes off, starts the mission and in the middle of the mission starts losing satellites, going...
Dear everyone!
I was in the same boat as the OP and I pulled the trigger about 1 month ago. So far the flying experience has been nothing but good - no problems there.
BUT the camera is giving me trouble. Even though I set white balance manually (to sunny, shade, etc.) the videos show severe...
So I have been emailing with DJI Europe support. I specifically asked for confirmation that the video recording is supposed to respect the white balance setting. They did confirm this, so now I'll try to swap my unit and see if that changes anything.
Hello everyone!
Before getting my V2+ I was on this site a lot. Now that I have it, even more because I find out about stuff you can only find out about if you actually put the device through it's paces.
Recently I discovered (with the help of the wonderful people around here) that the white...
