    Battery issues

It looks like it is a fairly widespread issue. My batteries have only 21 cycles which is less than most people who have problems. I have discharged/charged them several times. I just updated to the latest software from v1.08 and it seems to work a bit better, as in autoland occurs at about 15%...

    Battery issues

Dear all, I started having some issues with the P2 batteries. They charge fine and work well until I reach about 45-50% charge when voltage drops to about 10.6V and I need to put almost full power to keep the phantom at the same altitude. The battery sign on fpv flashes as well. After a short...

    Crash at 1540m

Hi all, Just thought I'd share this clip of my phantom crashing, going down from about 1700m to 1540m in a few seconds. I think the reason was the rather abrupt maneuvers that my son, who was flying, asked the phantom to do, especially rotation. I tried to recover to no avail, as the phantom...

If DJI would listening, what would you ask them to change on

Re: If DJI would listening, what would you ask them to chang How about quieter propellers?

What range do you get with your R/C transmitter ?

I've done 1030m (300m altitude), and the limiting factor became the FPV transmission.

    changing height parameter

It is a capability that might be added in the future according to DJI, as it is available on other flight control modules in their range, just not the Naza. Incidentally, the response from DJI was prompt and informative. @Ton, I seem to recall seeing in the manual that the phantom goes to 20m...

    changing height parameter

Well, I asked DJI. It is not possible to change the failsafe height of 20m. Which is a shame, hopefully they will make it possible in the future. Also, the reference is the starting point, so if your phantom goes and explores a hill for example and loses signal, if the hill is more than 20m...

    changing height parameter

I wonder if there is way to change the default height in loss of reception mode? It is set at 20m, but I'd like it to be higher. Anyone know if it is possible?

    Mount for ImmersionRC TX

I took the idea of decluttering from other guys on the forum. Soldered the can bus cable to the iosd mini, used the supplied cable from firstpersonview for the iosd mini/immersion tx/phantom cable connection. So you get rid of quite a lot of cables. I know I will need to open it for the next...

Video and FPV for Phantom 2

Another positive feedback for Ravecreative's mount. Even the screw provided is nice!

    New PHANTOM 2 arriving today

All the info is on the forum. I fitted iosd mini, immersion 600mw tx, black shark antennas and pearl screen with built in receiver and battery, as well as the mount sold by Ravecreative, a member on this forum (this 3d printing business is amazing). Worked straight out of the box, which I like.

    Mount for ImmersionRC TX

600mw. Had the phantom run for 5mins tonight without props inside the house, didnt feel any particular heat. I guess I will take it step by step. I might put a piece of heat reflecting fabric on it. Also took the opportunity to reroute the gimball cable, and soldered the can bus directly to the...

    New PHANTOM 2 arriving today

Honestly, I had not flown anything R/C for decades but the phantom is the easiest thing to learn on. Just make sure you get the firmwares update done, the compass calibration dance done, and wait for the green lights. Take it easy, but the great thing about it is that you dont need to ever...

    Mount for ImmersionRC TX

How hot does the immersion tx get? I fitted mine inside, with the component side directly on an air vent. I have not tested it on a proper flight yet, just a few minutes to check it works.

    CAN Bus connector

There is indeed the required picture. Thank you. I won't be as radical as this guy, the fpv stuff is in the post so there will be some tinkering soon.
