The Speedy Prop Balance rod I bought for the Phantom 4 is made to perfectly fit the center hole in the props. I tried my Dubro rod and it was kind of sloppy and hey, for $11.00 delivered how can you go wrong:>)
I just found out that you can get a really high precision prop balance rod especially designed for the Phantom 4 props from www.rcpilotsupply.com. They are great folks to deal with and the price includes the shipping!

To balance a prop you screw the rod included into the appropriate prop and place it on the two wires that are parallel to each other. If the prop rotates downward you place tape on the back side of the light end until the prop stays exactly in the middle then it is statically balanced and gives...

I just bought two of these to try to do something similar. I have a $ store monkey hooked to a Vietnam era flare parachute that I take up to 200-300 feet and drop from my F-450. Kids love it!! I am sure there is a way to do it on the phantom, I just haven't figured it out yet...
I just use a black (or whatever color) felt tip marker and make a stripe about 1" from each end of the prop top and bottom and another one about 1.5" inward from that one top and bottom. Pretty cool look and the weight added is imperceptible.

When I first started flying the Phantom and saw how easy it was to fly I was really confident that I could control it enough to fly it anywhere. THEN I had a prop failure (or something!) and watched it crash to the ground from 40' up. The Phantom was OK and I am still flying it. My flying was...
I am kind of new to taking pictures with a Quad and I was wondering what angle in relation to the horizon when flying level most of the Phantom fliers were setting their cameras? I run mine so that the camera lens is parallel with the bottom of the skids and shooting "straight out". Would I...
