    P3A Floats

Well I got a chance to fly this past weekend with the floats on over water. Second part of the video is using autopilot. First time so it's ok. Lots to learn though hopefully the thing lasts and doesn't crash on me

    P3A Floats

would it effect the laminar flow or pressure coefficient being in the airstream of the blades? Probably not. I did think about putting on the retractable legs with the extended legs. this would achieve what you are speaking of and keep them out of the prop wash. Probably look cool and if you...

    P3A Floats

One thing i have noticed with the ones they sell is they get in the camera view. you need to angle off the from tips so that this doesn't happen. If that is the case why even fly if you are filming floats. The odds may or may not be low but there has been too many incidents of these falling out...

    P3A Floats

None taken i just wanted to point out i did everything i could to recover it. My last post on the first page expands on my thoughts in regards to system failures. It gets pretty depressing sometimes reading all these horror stories.

    P3A Floats

we tried for hours to find it. Even searched with the side scan. It dropped in the inter-coastal and at that spot it has a 5+ knot current. It landed where it branches to four different locations. i knew exactly were it splashed but we could not find it. we were over to its location with in...

    P3A Floats

I have no issue with these being considered training wheels. For me my intended purpose is as aerial film platform of activities in my surroundings. 17 minutes is more than fine. i did not see any issues with degraded performance as indicated in the video footage. Battery temp was at 105...

    P3A Floats

Yes they did replace it under warranty. Both. I fly mostly over the Great Lakes which are fresh water. I doubt I will fly if over salt water again when I am down at our place in floridia. Yes it floats please note the statement in the thrird sentence of my origanal post. Yes it degrades flight...

    P3A Floats

It was not a bird. It was in sight and if you have been to south Florida the birds are as big as the craft its-self. Also it did so many tumbles you would have seen a bird in the video. I decided not to complain nor upload this at that time give all the speculation that usually ensues. Dji did...

    P3A Floats

DJI never did say only that it didn't appear to be user error. Took over 3 months to get back with me. They sent me a new craft only. That one was DOA. So I had to send that back. This time with everything and I received my thrird replacement. 5 month process in all. Here is video of it demise...

    P3A Floats

No I just made them with a pool noodle, carbon fiber and ABS plastic. Coated the noodle with plastic dip spray. I did consider that as well but didn't want to wait 15minutes for it to deploy. I can scoop it out of the drink rather quickly.

    P3A Floats

I have seen a few threads on this and discussion of necessity. After watching my first advanced drop out of the sky into the water (never recovered) and spending several months awaiting for a replacement i did not want to go through this process again. The floats are just for retrieval i...

***For those that read my post back on the 17th about my p4 fly away!

Think this is my first post but when you only get a few minutes flying before you kiss a over a grand goodbye not much to post about. I as well had a unfortunate ealry dismise to my phantom back in February Have spent much time reading all of these stories/post. Lots of negativity related to...
