    Australian Phantom Flyers!

Bugger... Could be worse, kind of: I raved about my P3P at work and convinced a good mate to buy one. A few weeks later and he still hasn't gotten it into the air, but not for want of trying. We do fly in fly out - me to Perth, him to Cairns. Unfortunately I can't even rock around his place and...

Another one, but NOR. Here's a P3P shot from Busselton back in March.

    Australian Phantom Flyers!

I prefer flying over water, or near water. That way, if I get into any trouble and lose control, there's less chance of harm to people or property. I presume you want to capture photo and video - hey, why else would you have a Phantom? Advice is given on that basis... Any coastal areas in...

    Taking drones on board aircraft

I took my P3P through Perth customs on a flight to Singapore earlier this year without any issue. From Singapore I travelled in and out of Indonesia via ferry, also without issue, and finally, out of Singapore back home. It was actually anticlimactic and even a little bit disappointing to not...

My new distance record, and new favourite photo: 2.3km from take-off point off the coast of Cervantes, Western Australia. The setting sun on the West Coast makes for great aerial photography looking back towards the shore, but it also seems to be when the wind is at its worst!

You must be getting pretty close to the exclusion zone around Sydney Airport?

Missing - One Phantom 3 Standard

More a question than a suggestion: Would it be worth considering that it didn't properly register the actual home location, and RTH was towards the previous home location you flew from? If the previous place you flew from is close enough, maybe it's sitting there happily in that location...

    Australian Phantom Flyers!

It's a beautiful drive; I've done it a few times now. A word of warning - it can get really windy, especially the Western half of the Eyre Peninsula and along the Great Australian Bight. Safe and happy travels!

    Australian Phantom Flyers!

Another one from Perth. :sunglasses: I work in the Eastern Goldfields, so I'm planning on bringing my (2 week old) P3P out here to do some sunrise / sunset stuff before and after work too.
