That's awesome the news used your footage! Just curious did they pay you for the footage?
Sorry didn't mean to sound critical or offend. Just want others that may not know the rules to know only the FAA can give permission to fly over people intentionally or not.
It's not the park manager that will issue you the fines (one for every person you flew over ... it's the FAA and they require a waiver to fly over people. Stand under your drone and keep people at a distance and you'll be OK. You can legally be under your own drone. The good news is the FAA...
You had 9 sats ... so you were good to go. Albuquerque is pretty wide open and from the looks of things the area you're in has little to no significant vegetation so I'm sure you had lots of them quickly. :sunglasses:
It's not the number of signal bars it's the number of satellites you have acquired. 9 is the minimum needed before Go4 will let you fly higher and of course you'll typically acquire more as you climb. It may hold you for 30 seconds and find more. I usually wait for a dozen just after lift...
If you buy directly from the DJI Store the drones are completely repaired and tested. If it's not then you can return it.
I bought my first P3P that way, it worked perfectly just like a new one and a great way to learn how to fly for less. I kept it for a year then sold it to move up to a P4P...
Only problem is it's only for personal drone use. If u fly under 107 it won't cover u. I tried to insure that way and as soon as they discovered it was commercial use they declined to cover
Here's my take ... I actually have both an iPad Mini 4 and iPad Pro 9.7 with the A9 processor. I have a P4P and just received my Mavic Air so I can use either one with either drone. Both work fantastic and it just depends on the size screen you want. I've had ZERO problems with the Mini 4...
Great choice to start and I'm sure you'll love it! The P4P has the better camera and very safe to fly but the reviews from experienced pros that have used all mentioned speak very highly of the new Mavic Air. I want one myself for travel/vacation photography but the P4P is my aircraft of...
5 for me. 3 high cap and 2 5350s. Plenty of flight time and by the time I use all 5 I’ve usually had enough for the day especially if it’s a paying job!
