I believe Bluetooth is also 2.4GHz, so I always turn it off on whatever device (phone or tablet) I'm using for the display. That's in addition to placing all other devices I have on me (including my Apple Watch) in airplane mode to ensure there's no RF from them to interfere.
I was really happy to find this thread. I've been using Magic Power for a while (well, a modified version of it applied manually as I have a MacBook) but I'm interested in understanding some of the built-in commands the script uses. It's good to see other people wanting to delve into other...
I have a P3S with the ARGtek kit (6 antennas; 3 omni and 3 panel) and with the Magic Power range mod get around 2,000m (around 6,500 ft) with the three directional panel antennas before the 5GHz control signal starts to fail (video is generally rock-solid). So I've been looking for a way to...
Is that the omni that comes with the ARGtek kit (10 dBi) and is it better than the ARGtek 6 dBi flat panel? I have both but always assumed the flat panel would be better for distance despite the lower gain.
I use the DJI Inspire mount on my Standard controller. Some people drill a hole to accommodate part of the mount, but I didn't bother and it's absolutely solid with my iPad mini.
Was the drop in range with the latest firmware tested in the same location and under the same conditions? I've had 2200m with the ARGtek and MagicPower with firmware 1.7.9, but have recently updated to the latest firmware. I haven't flown since so I'm just wondering whether I should expect a...
I started to reply with some instructions from memory, but I don't have my Phantom with me at the moment and I'd rather double-check everything I say because the last thing I want is for the instructions to be wrong in any way and anyone to brick their drone as a result.
I'll hopefully be able...
The second one from BlueProton comes with three omnidirectional antennas and three flat-panel directional antennas, which gives you flexibility depending on how you intend to fly. The first option may be an ArgTEK clone, as it doesn't appear to come with all six antennas.
I also have the ArgTEK with 1.7.9 firmware and get a lot of interference warnings when flying with DJI Go. I'm pretty sure the warnings have been worse since the 1.7.9 update. Litchi doesn't appear to report interference errors.
I use an iPad mounted on my controller and sometimes forget to...
Ha, yes. Didn't think to check your profile.
I'll hold off from this latest firmware for now! Maybe you could try downgrading the firmware to see if you get back to your previous range?
