The bad DJI battery was replaced under warranty. It took 15 days from the day I sent it until I received the new one. The new one has the larger square contacts.

Some countries have the steering wheel on the left, some have it on the right. I have noticed that those countries with the steering wheel on the right tend to lean toward mode 1 while the steering wheel on the left lean toward mode 2, YMMV

Adobe makes a version of Lightroom for the iPad. I use LR on my Mac and removes the distortion quite well. I have not tried it on the iPad though

There is an o-ring that you take out which opens a vent hole. In the case documentation it discusses removing the o-ring prior to flight to keep that from happening. I believe the vent hole is under the right latch.
