The manual says if location is more than 30km away from last calibration you should recalibrate so I've always done that. Interesting thread I try to avoid electrical cables etc but hadn't thought about reinforcing bars in concrete. Good points thanks.
Nothing in the settings I could see to adjust this. I pondered putting my quad at a counter angle whilst calibrating the gimbal but no idea if that will actually work
Re: Brand New Phantom 2 with Zenmuse Flyaway now 80' underwa
Ive only used gopro wifi once and the quad decided to fly into my house despite good GPS lock and compass calibration. I won't use the wifi again after that experience. :( Lessson learnt the hard way, I was lucky I guess all I got was...
I read when researching ground station that height is based on the actual land not on the surface of the water, if the water is deep, won't that mean you are effectively flying at sea level plus whatever depth of water? Im a newb so excuse me if Im talking rubbish ;)
Wow, I always noticed lots of bug blood on the props when I land, never seen any actual insects though. Thats scary.
We had around 10 swallows (birds) dive bombing and buzzing our quads on tuesday. It was quite scary and they would'nt let up so we landed. It really didnt show on the film that...
I've had mine a week too and experienced exactly the same unexpected fear when I first took off. I still have that, but I suspect that fear is part of the buzz of using one and why its so much fun too. I never expected to get such joy from flying it but I really do. I agree they get small very...
Re: Taking still images from phantom 2 w/H3-D3 and GoPro 3+B
Gopro has a timelapse function, easiest way is to just set it taking a snap at an interval you are happy with.
I have used the remote but its range is limited, so timelapse works best for me. Does make more work to look through however.
I was considering a groundstation after seeing a friends freeware software on his home build quad. The look at gps point whilst moving between waypoints is amazing for video.
Sad to learn it can't do it. Not even on the pc version?
New to Quadcopters and to filming from the sky. Enjoying it like nothing else Ive tried before. Just thought I'd say hello.
My friend has a self build quad and we were testing his software and testing out waypoints and automatic features. I was also practicing filming but found without FPV it...
Mine is about 2degrees out (based upon correction I Have to make) it works great at keeping everything perfectly 4degrees out. Upon inspection it doesnt look straight at the vertical bar to me at the back but without knowing what it should look like I'm not sure whether to return it or not.
