What are the .srt files for?

I don't have any srt files to try it with but I uploaded a 7 MB executable to my google disk you could try. It should work the same way as the script. Totally untested though, I've never tried the conversion tool before. Here is the link; Meet Google Drive – One place for all your files

What are the .srt files for?

Yes. What level of OS X do you have? I thought tools like make were part of the official release by now, but they may be only part of the Developer Tools. Those are free, but it is a large download. You'd not have done since I see you are not very familiar with unix. If you want to keep...

What are the .srt files for?

Oops, I see that package does not include instructions for installing it. Not very friendly, they usually do. Anyway, from memory, the steps are cd to the uncompressed package folder then type these commands; perl Makefile.PL make make test make...

What are the .srt files for?

Yes, you need the Perl Geo/Distance package installed, I mentioned that in my original post, that's the code that actually converts pairs of latitude/longitude points into distances. Do a google search on something like perl install geo/distance package, or go to this link; Geo::Distance -...

What are the .srt files for?

An Another 'unixy' thing, the script needs to be in your search path, or you need to execute it by specifying the full path to it. For you it will be far easier to do the latter, type the command like this; ./calc-dist.pl < DJI_0083.srt > NEW_0083.srt The './' is unix for 'The directory...

What are the .srt files for?

To use the script after you have downloaded it you open the Terminal app and in that do this once chmod a+rwx "name of script" That makes it executable. Then in the terminal change directory to where you have a .srt file cd "dir path" then do this "script name" < "name of .srt file" >...

Salt water effects on the phantom 3

I normally takeoff and land on the beach. I don't have sand or salt problems. Seems an excessive concern, but then I don't roll the thing around in the sand either.

what is GPS format found in EXIF data

I've been using lightroom for photos and video. It does not manage to pickup location info for movies, I've not checked the pictures.

what is GPS format found in EXIF data

OK, but now I don't know what your question was. It seems you knew what the data meant already. Or perhaps you were just surprised at that form of representation. There are probably multiple ways that data in DDMMSS format is presented.

what is GPS format found in EXIF data

Well if your Mac says 35º 52' 54.4795" where you are seeing 35.52.54.4795 in the EXIF data then it seems clear the EXIF data is in degree.min-sec.fractional-sec format. All I did was try to convert ddmmss.ss to fractional degrees in my head, very roughly.

what is GPS format found in EXIF data

Looks like degrees.minutes.seconds.fractional-seconds I'd guess the Mac version is something like 35.90????? which would be degrees.fractional-degress

Salt water effects on the phantom 3

That's almost the only place I've flown mine, since mid November. No problems. I keep it out of the ocean but otherwise nothing special.

What's a good Mac program for visualizing flight logs?

The dashware website notes that the SW only runs on Windows and suggest you use a VM to run windows to run dashware if you have a mac. Since I don't have windows I'm not going to pursue that. In any case dashware is for adding overlays to videos, I just want access to graphs of the data saved on...

What's a good Mac program for visualizing flight logs?

I think healthy drones only works with log data saved in the Go app. I'm speaking of the more extensive data saved on the aircraft. Different data. And dashcam is a Windows app. Won't run on a Mac.

All the sensor data kept by the aircraft.
