My gimbal got a dip in the ocean. It moves but doesn't send video. I've done a full salt water cleanup but I think the circuit boards have an issue.
The aluminium and cables are all in good shape. I also test another P3P Gimbal and camera and everything works so I've eliminated an issue with...
I've been doing some research on why my drone dropped from the sky very shortly after takeoff. I was in a very rural area in New Zealand and had good signal, good battery etc. It was in a full takeoff and then just turned off and dropped. The battery was still intact when I recovered it...
I took the gimbal off and connected to a fully functional p3p and same result which takes the wire issue off the table. Narrowing things down, it has power initially but won't transmit video to the RC.
I tested two SD's today but no difference.
Further troubleshooting shows that while the gimbal goes through the boot-up motions it then it goes limp. I don't have the option of taking video or pictures on the screen either and the scroll wheel is not communicating with the gimbal.
This...
DJI has not responded in 4 weeks and it landed in the water so the dealer said I would be out of luck. I got it all working again but am nervous about it dropping on something else.

I just put my P3P back together after a trip into the ocean. Plenty of details here if you want them (
Water Damage Tips & Process)
It flies fine at the moment and everything seems to work except for the video feed. On startup the gimbal goes through its bootup motions as normal but I...
Update on this. Just flew it. Flight seems fine. Gimbal boots up and runs through articulations but doesn't send video. Looks like I've got some troubleshooting to do. I'm pretty amazed it came back to life after salt water.
