My main point is to disagree with the OP's original statement that the P4P camera "blows away" the X5 camera. I am not arguing about the other merits of the P4P, it is a fantastic drone for the price. But to make sweeping statements about one being greatly superior to the other is misleading...
The 1" sensor is NOT 25.4mm. It is 13.2mm x 8.8mm. It has a 2.7 crop factor compared to 35mm full frame. I am struggling to see the point of your post. I agree the P4P camera /lens seems to be very good.
Wrong wrong wrong!
I don't want to address every misconception in this thread (there are many) but I really wonder about the original poster thinking that video is shot with mechanical shutter! Can you imagine a mechanical shutter tripping 30 or 60 times per second!!? This raises questions about...
I think your mistake was stopping down to F/11. You have probably gone into the diffraction area where smaller apertures produce less sharpness. My friend has an X5 camera on his inspire and couldn't get sharp images at small apertures. Around F/5.6 was OK. This problem is common in all aspects...
Yeah that's right. I guess we have totally different shooting conditions to each other. Around where I live I want the full overhead sun for maximum colour saturation to make the area look good for tourists etc. Below is a link to what I am talking about. All aerial stuff shot with ND16. I guess...
Your post contains a bit of truth but also I have to disagree with some of it. ND filters are very useful in lowering shutter speed as you have described to keep the 180 degree rule.
Very True: Most of the casual users buying the ND filters thought they were designed to be used for exposure...
Thanks Rockydog, I was thinking mainly just for still photos and not having a gimbal at all. These cameras have a built in intervalometer so just set it for one photo every 3 or 4 seconds. Using a high shutter speed might cancel any vibration blur.
I did a bit of a search but couldn't find anything. Has anyone on here tried mounting a larger camera like the Sony A5000 on a Phantom 2 or 3? The weight is about 388g. I really like the idea of an APS-c sized sensor with 20Mp. The latest A6100 etc has 24Mp. Even if the flight time is reduced it...
Ignore all the people who say you can't get same quality as Canon 5D and that is your problem. Of course you can't but your photos definitely have some issue going on with focus. I downloaded your photos in Lightroom and looked at them closely. The images are not sharp. I would be very unhappy...
I am also in regional Australia. I only buy important things like batteries from a reputable dealer. To make sure you have genuine battery order from places like Rise Above in Sydney. They are very fast at delivery and excellent service. They have a real location you can actually visit if you...
