I set up my Z15 GH4 gimbal with lightbridge last night, with 14SG for pilot control and Taranis controlling the gimbal, both work fine but will replace the 14SG with another taranis I think far better for programming custom panning speeds etc.
I have a 14SG and Taranis, both can be converted to sprung throttle. In the case of the 14SG the UK version came with the parts to convert it in the box. The Taranis does not need any additional parts to convert.
I like the 14SG but to be honest I find the radio link on the taranis is...
I agree, recordings not starting until in the air. Also yes it is supposed to cache when no signal is available and then send when it is available again. I guess they have some bug fixing to do.
I like the live but it is another case of a company getting too excited and rushing out hardware...
You don't need the 8xr, you plug the lightbridge into the x2 port, them the ground unit into the taranis via trainer cable then configure with lightbridge assistant.
Well my gimbal now has exactly the same symptoms it was upgraded but has worked for a few flight since.
Powered up today and nothing..... will try this fix tonight.
Only the first batches of LB kits came with the extended accessories.
Newer kits do not have a lot of the parts that the first batch did... I think DJI are dissappearing up there own *** now, spend ££££ on a HD video link and get no cables to connect it to anything.
Did you plug the lightbridge ground unit into your computer and run lightbridge assistant and calibrate the channels before going to phantom assistant (do this with all your channel endpoints at defaults)?
Did you bind the ground unit to the air unit?
The latest P2 central board (not controller) firmware update fixed all my H3-3D issues. The only time I notice that my gimbal twitches is if it is not completely free to run the initialisation moves.
I don't see why this is "some different way", it is doing video in through the connector. Only thing I would say is elgato has been in bed with apple for many years so maybe they have a special pass. Maybe DJI have been speaking to apple and have some special dispensation, I am sure HD aerial...
Why.... because sometimes the gopro won't power with the DJI HDMI connected, hold the power button and nothing, soon as I pull out the HDMI it fires up. That particular H3 Black has always been a bit funny, haven't tried it with the H3+ black yet.
Users that have been testing report the video is smoother in general on iOS. But I think the biggest advance will be when they release the OSD over HDMI firmware which is also in beta testing.
