There's a new bill being submitted in the Montana Legislature. While I agree drones shouldn't be used by environmentalist to harass hunters and angles, I fear this bill may lead to broader restrictions that go beyond its original purpose. You can read about it here...

Did you have the antenna on the transmitter when testing it ? If not, you can and probably did fry the transmitter.

Yep, you can't see what the camera is seeing while taking photos, probably what your best bet would be is to shoot video and pause where there's a scene you like then copy it and save it as a picture. I've never tried this myself but you'd think there'd be a way to do it.
