After a partial disassemble, I see the cable is not wrapped around the camera axis perfectly squarely. That may be causing a bit of a bind. I'm leary of trying to pull the ribbon off to rewind it. That glue is pretty strong!

My EXACT problem. Just replaced the cable and now the gimbal is rather stiff. It doesn't do its startup dance properly unless manually nudged. Works okay indoors and when warm, but after flying for a minute in the cold it is no longer responsive. Getting ready to disassemble and reassemble...

Sounds like my problem. Had a limp gimbal and replaced the cable last week. Now the pitch control is sketchy especially when cold. Gimbal pitch is definitely stiffer than it used to be. I think I'll disassemble and reassemble to see if ribbon is binding. Wish me luck!

Same happens to me with my Phantom 3 Pro. Cold and windy, the gimbal hangs limp during second flight or on it's return near the end of the first flight. 40 degrees F and sunny. It happened to me for the first time a year ago when I was flying in 20 degree F calm air, and hadn't happened again...

The issue with using the Samsung Gear VR Goggles is that they plug into your phone, so how do you use your phone with the Phantom controller then? Can you use a micro USB splitter or something?

Thanks Joe. I've found Drone Deploy to be perfect for my flight planning. But I'll keep this Litchi feature in mind for other things.

I have not even used DJI Go for weeks! I reboot my phone every night. And here it is, draining my battery. Before adding my drone apps, I was getting about 4% battery drain per hour. Now I'm up to 10%.

I've seen posts where people have actually drilled holes into their Gear to accept the cable from the Phantom remote. Not something I would want to do to mine considering you can get a pair of goggles for just about any phone for only $15-$30.

Just checked out the Dream Flights app. Looks pretty cool. $35.53 ?? Love the palindrome, but that's a bit steep. May have to do it though. Hopefully, if I wait long enough, Litchi will add yaw control to theirs.

I see the GO app running in the background and using data even when I've not been using the app. It even runs in the background after restarting the phone. Makes me wonder if China is spying on us...
