The opening is slightly narrow. I normally have to remove the rc first, slide the phantom 3 forward slightly before removing it. I dont think its a issue since the motors sit right underneath the padding:)

I have the same issue and i havent done the update yet. It only happens when i first take off, so ill usually fly it around once and bring it back to a low altitude and everything is fine again. It doesnt happen all the time too.

What software do you guys use for scaling the footage down from 4k to 1080p?

Same here, i did my research on what was available, but making one seem more logical after looking at the prices.

IMO the best option would be to DIY one yourself, you can build it according to your preference.

do you know the main causes for compass degradation? i think it was in atti mode, but the wind was fairly strong up there thats why it drifted quite a bit

i was on 1.1.9, first time it happened. I am guessing its because i was in the city, though i was on the outskirts near the beach.
