What I found to be really important is to ensure the card is min. 45m/s read and 45m/s write. If you meet this min. requirement for the card you should not have any problems.

I was having the same problem. I had a class 10 but when I ran a test (free software available on line for both Windows and Macs) it would come back as 5m/s max. When loaded into my Phantom it would take forever to format and there was a noticable lag in both reading and writing to the card...
