Yes those cracks looks about as bad as mine.
I didn't get a chance to add baking soda but using the strongest Araldite (epoxy) I could find, so far no further issues.
LOL they told you to buy a new one?
You might as well buy the RF-V16 GPS.
I looked around for quite a few GPS for my Phantom before finally deciding to get the V16.
It's cheap and light and accurate enough.
I tested it in my backyard and the approximate distance off from Google maps were around 15m.
They work ok together.
The top clip does not clip on as securely if you have the Polar Pro landing gear installed.
Check out my pics.
BTW does anyone else's LED surface feel sticky?
It's strange because I would have thought they were just plastic but it actually feels rubbery and sticky to touch.
BTW if anyone is using a large tablet like 9.7" iPad, don't forget to a get better tablet stand.
It no longer feels like the big tablet is going to fall off and snap the original plastic one.
I got it from eBay for AU$25.
I'll go Advanced if 4K isn't a priority.
I would like 4K but I don't even have any 4K monitors/ TV and I know in a year's time, there would be better drones out there and 4K wouldn't be a top selling feature.
It's not like you are going to be flying the Phantom 3 for the next 5 years anyway.
I was in a similar situation as you last week.
1 crack right out of the box on 1 of the arms.
I decided to just repair that with epoxy.
Someone here also suggested mixing baking soda in there to form a super hard plastic repair.
You can do that while you hydro dip your new shell.
:O
Sucks but I was never really able to make use of the 32 channels.
It seems most of the time, the channel signals in my area just up and down so one second I see a long green bar, then the next second it disappears.
I had a funny hiccup while updating mine last Friday with this firmware.
Updated the DJI Go app- no issues at all
Updated the aircraft- no issues at all
Updated the controller- failed. (Using the same microSD card from previously)
Hooked everything up including my cellular iPad. I was also in...
I went cheaper and got the Multistar aluminum case from HobbyKing:
It fits even with the PolarPro landing legs attached. Along with 3 batteries, props, DJI should strap, controller, iPad Pro.
