I would try it but I lose control before I lose FPV...

I ordered one from helipal Sunday evening and had it at my door today. Not too bad, 2 days from Hong Kong to Pennsylvania. :D Took it for a test run and lost control signal before the camera. I was out about 2300 feet at an altitude of 350 feet. I guess I need to beef up the control now... :)

When I fly I make sure the device I'm using to view has had all other access points disabled. That way you are sure that it will only connect to the phantom. It sounds like your mini might have connected to another wifi signal.

Does the tablet connect to the phantom range extender? Is this device also a phone? I had the same issue but my phone was dropping the wifi connection. I solved it by having the phone forget any access points wifi was using and disabling the connections optimizer under the mobile networks...

Tincup, I was wrong. It was my phone. On my galaxy 3, under mobile networks in settings there is a connections optimizer setting. I disabled that and told the phone to forget any other wifi access points it was connecting to. It works now!. It's raining so I'm not going to send it up but I was...
