    The FAA headquarters are less than 5 miles away from me in OKC and fly within 4 nm of an AFB (legal RC field). So yes, but want to see what the AMA does or can.

    Yes, but their final is away from the field and we have an agreement with them to fly there so perfectly safe. This was one of those I just happen to be up there and what the heck lets video moments.....

    Actually you can. I fly within 4nm of Tinker AFB at Baxter Field. 100% legal and have good relations with TAFB to fly 400' or below at the location. Below is a great video of an AWACS I took above the field on final.

    Yes, 4 miles right off of runway 26 which makes it completely insane. But they have an agreement with them to fly no higher than 400' while the aircraft will be no lower than 1500' keeping separation. Also you have to get a flight permit from OKC further saving you. Would not fly to the north at...

    Please DO NOT fly in the metro area. You will be within the 5 mile ring of both OKC as well as Tinker AFB and in violation of the FAA regulations. They have control from SFC to around 5000'. One great place is Draper Lake as you can get a permit from the city and even join the RC field there...
