Your range will depend on a lot of things. Radio interference, terrain, ect... The altitude of the aircraft plays a role as well. You will get better range with the Phantom flying at 300 feet than you will if it is at 100 feet.
A couple of things to remember:
1. Don't outfly your battery...
I haven't tried zooming. If it was the lens though, I can't imagine the problem disappearing in 4k?
Perhaps it is still there but I'm not seeing it?
I can see it for sure in the 1080p. A little less in the 2.7K.
I looked for it in the 4K, and I don't see the distortion, but I get the...
I have a question about video settings on my Phantom 4, and I am hoping that someone with more experience here might be able to help me out.
I posted earlier in the year about a strange warp field effect that was occurring with my Phantom 4.
Video Artifact question, "warp field" not jello.

Not insulted at all! It's often the little things like that that cause issues. I did take the film off, and I did remove the foam shipping block as well. I've looked at the lens, and I can't see any dirt or scratches on it that would cause it.
Thanks!, at least I know I am not crazy. So that definitely isn't the "Jello effect" that others have been trouble-shooting?
What would make it stop when hovering? I think it must be vibration of some kind.
I had some choppy video at 4k, which I think may be related to my processing power in the computer. So I've been filming at 1080P 48FPS. The artifact is hard to spot unless you go full screen. It's a small area of the video, almost like a "warp" or a "wave." It's at the very bottom of the video...
My wife bought me a Phantom 4 for Christmas. I love the unit, as it is a massive upgrade from my Phantom 3 Standard. However, I've noticed that out of the box, there is a small area of "warp field" effect on my videos. The Phantom 3 didn't suffer from this.
This is not camera shake Jello, but...
This is a stock FC40 with the FC40 camera. These were taken on my 3 & 4th flights. I have a lot of learning to do to smooth things out. Comparing this to some of the other videos out there, it appears a gimbal does make a big difference with getting smooth footage...
I'm a new phantom owner, and I have a question about compass calibration. I've been reading and watching tutorial videos to learn as much as I can about my new phantom. In the course of doing this, I've seen two different methods of calibrating the compass.
In the first, the phantom is held...
