Mark - It is intelligent batteries. On the DJI app there is a setting (in days) that will dictate in how many dates the batteries wil discharge themselves. Settings > Aircraft Battery > Time to Discharge
Not sure what is the bottom percentage that they will discharge though... E.g 8% min.
Cheers
You hit the nail on the head! - Its like charging a business "more" for internet access or banking fees . Common practice here in South Africa without ANY Logic behind it. The only motif is kill the goose laying the golden eggs!
Safety requirement - Min Safety level
This is more from a security point of view - Divide a google map up in zones and select a minimum fly height per zone. If you then add a WP in that zone below the minimum it will default to the minimum.
This will ensure my 16 yo does not set waypoints in...
Very weak Satellite signal inside (kind of a Faraday cage) and Atti mode needs a contrasted surface for the monochrome camera to work. You would probably need the beer after the crash...
Further test and photos.
After 30 minutes of flight (2 batteries) in an ambient sunny temperature of around 25 degrees C the max temperature that the motors reached was 38 on the bottom of the plastic.
With my limited knowledge of plastic's I will concur with what a few said in this thread - It...
@Kreso Is this the "new" mount?
@Norm Walker - I hope you are right. The Type of plastic and the max temp will have a huge influence. I am no plastic expert but characteristics like load bearing, tear resistance, Rigidity and tensile strength differs highly between plastics. In some...
@robinb - Only 29 deg for red and 25 for Yellow. Blue was 20. So it is 30% increase but that was only after 1 minute of hovering. I will do a 20 min flight this afternoon and measure again. If it is not reaching 40 degrees heat will be a non issue and the plastics re-inforcements will work...
@autoflightlogic - I want to buy the app today BUT also need clarification on the next version that will include GS / WP. Will it be an in app purchase or a new app?
@StumbleBee - I will investigate the temp difference with the screws in more FLIR photo's Good point...
@Chris Vedeler - Thicker support would have made a huge difference - I agree. What the FLIR showed me is that it is not only vibration but a combination of factors.
I need to calibrate...
I was thinking (being in manufacturing myself) there could be a few reasons for the cracking problem on the P3.
- Flight fatigue and stress over time
- Off Balance motor due to rotor damage
But look at this, a FLIR image of a P3 after about 1 minute of hovering
Heat buildup from the motor...
