    P1 photography

Hi Beario,Sounds like you have a great setup and are enjoying the flying. The extra weight of my camera really affected flying as it sort of turned the Phantom into a pendulum, and was always a relief when I got it back after a flight. Nice talking to you and have fun.

I was probably getting only about 10 minutes flight time because of the overall weight, about 1.3 kilos. It was also quite a handful in the air as it was slow to react to the sticks.

Hi Beario, I stayed with the stock motors but went to the bigger props and modified the battery compartment to take 5200mah Multistar batteries.

    So long.

After many years of flying my P1 it has finally died. After another of its uncontrollable flyaways,it landed in the sea. I was able to retrieve it but the salt water has ruined the Ricoh GR11 camera and killed all the electrics. My insurance came to the rescue and replaced it with a P4P+.So I...

    Naza-invalid serial number.

The box that my P1.1.1. came in has a label on it with a Naza-M S/N, TX S/N and the Phantom S/N. Although the Naza has only a 10 digit S/N.

    Mac compatibility

Thank you so much guys. I remember seeing the old DJI calibration videos and there was a Mac computer for the purpose. I am running 10.11.6 on my Mac so I should be OK. I realise it is a bit on the heavy side but it just takes a bit of getting used too. Once again thank you both for your help.

    Mac compatibility

Hi Guys, I have been flying my P1.1.1 for almost 3 years now without it ever being connected to a computer. It has been perfect and any crashes have all been my fault. Following all the advice and tips on this site I upgraded to 5200 Multistar batteries to carry a Ricoh GR camera for better...

Thanks for the update,I am getting about 10 minutes before the red light starts flashing and it does descend more rapidly now with the extra weight of the new camera.I hope to upgrade to the P2 body in the future so I am very interested to hear of your experiences.

DJI Phantom 1.5 with 24 minutes of flight time 6600 battery

Hi h2oslider, thanks for your info on the battery upgrade. Could you please keep us up to date on how the P1 electrics cope with the voltage increase. What is your total flying weight and how does it respond to the sticks. I have modified my P1 to take the 5200mAh battery and with a Ricoh GR11...

    Fpv

Hi rattydude77, Had a look for Bosch FPV,but only found goggles. I would prefer to use a monitor as the rules here state that you must have line of sight with your UAV during flying.
