Hi all,
Wondering if a few of you would be willing to provide me with a little info.
For those who have been touched by technical grief, experienced drone derision... How many flights & hours did you manage before drone disintegration?? ( I'm talking about totally written off/lost/buggered).
My...
The motors look like they're riding high - like they're ready to FALL off, let alone crack off. I assume this will have been over engineered given the issues of the predecessor
I don't think anyone's being negative in THIS thread, just cautious with out expensive toys/work equipment. Would be ironic to break it when not in flight and the engines and supporting structures on the P3 have been found wanting at times.
Bambola I'm encouraged about you having no issues so...
Yes I have thought it might be a little too much to ask of the engines, moreover the engine mounts (so far my P3 has been crack free). I might attach zip ties to the frame instead. Perhaps I should have just made a handle!
It can be done without a handle; I thought the "4th axis" might be better...
I agree, it won't shut down until vertical descent stops (on the ground) but there is a 'red zone' on the vertical speed gauge. I usually back off when in the red but then never really fly too high anyway. Perhaps too long in the red might result in the P3 rolling inverted??
How long has it been charged for (time between charging and using?). I may be wrong about this, but I believe the battery begins to self-discharge after 3 or so days -
Bought my Phantom in May. 25 hours so far, 150 flights, 2 hard landings below 5 feet (one was into me, guess that's a soft landing then) no cracks! I keep waiting for them but they never come. Perhaps the first generation were tougher?
