This is interesting, I had taken line A to mean something different.
Directly participating in the operation of the small unmanned aircraft;
I understood this as people part of the aircraft operation as in task/purpose of the flight such as search and rescue operation. Therefore people who are...
Well it says unprotected structures... i'd say a house counts as protected. A tent, for example, probably not. Unfortunately, the same section of the safety code states that you need a flight safety line established where ever you fly- so not exactly practical outside a flying park.
Yes.
According to Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Frequently Asked Questions/Help
Part 107 limits your altitude to 400 feet unless your unmanned aircraft is flying within 400 feet of a structure (in which case you may not fly higher than 400 feet above the top of that structure).
So in general...
I'm guessing something along the lines of no single point of failure. Redundant batteries, redundant motors, redundant flight controllers? That would be the minimum for maintaining flight- I doubt that you'd need redundant radio links as long as the craft has auto hover/return to home functions...
Park rules are available at http://www.dem.ri.gov/pubs/regs/regs/fishwild/parkmgmt.pdf
I live nearby, and while I haven't gone to Lincoln Woods to fly, it's a pretty crappy rule. I have been working on ways to test the DEM and get it overturned, but surprisingly have not had any park rangers...
Ironically, Lake Michigan is the only one of the great lakes that does not form a border with Canada. So definitely within the definition of internal water as it is bordered on all sides by US territory. Perhaps your coordinates were off and put you somewhere else?
I just finished reading the brief. It is a very well reasoned and documented argument. It would be hard to argue with the points stated except by eroding the credibility of the supporting documents- many of which are FAA statements and publications themselves. The argument does appear to come...
Wasn't there a provision early on that you didn't need to have the aircraft marked as long as you have a copy on your person? Did that go away when the part 107 rules went into effect?

lol- based on the specs and the listed price, I'd be asking that opposite question. Is the Phantom 4 worth getting over the Mavic? This is a similar situation to when the Phantom 3 was released and suddenly had almost all the functions of the Inspire 1 at half the cost.
Funny. My friend was there as part of the film crew documenting it. He was saying they had a few aircraft up at once, but at least one was simply doing video recording of the others for pr clips. The fully autonomous ones had a pilot on standby in case they went wonky.

I finally took pictures of mine. It's not the prettiest installation, but it works very well.
The bulb is attached to a phantom 2 gimbal guard using the screws that came with it. I mount the guard with velcro cable wraps to the legs so that it is removable. The balance plug can then be powered...
The short answer is the motors you pictured wont do much. The long answer is complicated... estes rocket motors are pretty well documented and generally operate within specifications. The rocket motors you show will output up to 8 newtons of thrust(3 typically) for up to 1.25 newton-seconds...
For me it is still broken. I'm on Sprint. It appears that all ports are being blocked except port 22 (typically SSH). Is there some sort of anti-DDOS or other security system that is doing filtering on the site? For me, it is affecting both the app and simply accessing the webpage itself.
