I’m from the opposite end of the country but there’s plenty of National Parks and stunning coastline down there where you’ll be able to fly perfectly legally
Very very tempted to book a flight to Cape Town end of October/November. Looks awesome I appreciate it will be spring time there, but will the weather prevent me from flying much?
I had exactly the same problem when using my iPad but when I switched to iPhone 7plus it seemed to work fine.
Only problem I had none of my footage was recorded to the memory card. Not sure if it's a dodgy card or the firmware update

I'm on my 5th Droning trip to Lanzarote and never had any hassle. It's a Droners heaven with all the volcanos and craters. I've been advised by a local I'm not allowed to fly in the National Park however
