the idea of saving dogs and children is admirable and Great for promoting the good that drones can do (already many are saving lives delivering life belts to drowning bathers in Australia etc).
On a humorous note tho (please don’t shoot me metaphorically or literally), if a certain hunter...
Does anyone know whether the charging hub is designed to be safely left switched on for months in storage mode so that when the battery drops below storage levels it will automatically come on and charge up to storage levels again?
The only clue in the manual is the word ‘keep’:
“Storage Mode...
Thanks, watched the video all the way through including balancing props, but then he showed the hub needs balancing and didn’t show how to balance it. I was wondering whether you could use the same simple method of placing insulation tape on the light side of the hub?
The idea of this sounds exciting but I’m concerned at that price that after lifting & dropping a couple of things that it will stay in the cupboard. Can anyone list fun or useful things to drop other than fishing and dog-fetch-ball dropping please?
I wish we’d seen this longer version as the first posting as it is much less likely that any drone could elevate from the ground that quickly to be above a plane even coming into land. The video seems to be continuous. 98% fake for me.

Thanks OP for a helpful video. ‘Dronefriend’ mentioned that it was long but for me no time was wasted compared with many self-appreciating videos I’ve seen. This was a no nonsense and selfless gift of assistance to many members.
What practical use examples would course lock have please?
If I’ve understood it correctly, I will just fly in a straight line towards X or back towards Y, whilst the yaw enables the drone (& camera) to face in any required direction whilst moving along that straight line?
Haha you’re welcome. It’s what this great forum is for. I too went blank with my head stuck in the myriad of phantom settings and overlooked the obvious until a helpful member guided me down the path of the seemingly obvious.
Using a card reader also reduces battery usage and therefore prolongs battery life.
There are many memory stick sized readers that have multiple plugs to transfer to PC (USB), iPad (lightning) etc.
Thanks for your confirmation, it’s what I feared and is a shame as one of my reasons for buying the drone is to check out any local smoke for an unattended fire as I live near a forest and there’s some pretty reckless fire starters here. Sometimes I can’t see the smoke without my P4A being so...
