Rolling shutter is not the flickering you see. rolling shutter has to do with the way the sensor records the image and can be seen when you pan the camera left or right by straight lines, such as light poles, seemingly leaning to the side.
Are you using an nd filter since you shoot at 1/50...
I'm using Polar Pro and really like them so far. Good quality. Its worth spending a little extra in my opinion. They will last you long and make a big difference in the footage you get.
Personally I use the nd16 on sunny days and even nd32 for shooting into the sun or over water.

The VPS works from 30cm to 3m. I would switch it off if you plan to fly at that height over water. FYI The manual says to operate with great caution when flying with VPS over water.
As far as I know it's not a permission to fly commercial and get paid. It's an exception to the rules that allows you to fly near buildings, over crowds etc. if you are using it for commercial purposes. So as long as you stay within the rules that apply to hoppyist you should be allowed to...

Are you sure about that? I assume that the 400ft limit is to avoid airplanes that fly as low as 500ft AGL. If a plane flew through that valley at 2000ft that would pose a real danger.
