I don't know why it has to be cold as the imu doesn't engage strait off the bat altho I have seen other people say it has to be cool. Also once my drone heats up the imu registers fine.
hi let your aircraft heat up place it on a completely flat surface and under aircraft settings do an imu calibration once you have done that it should be fine I get an imu error message every time I start it up
A good screwdriver set is essential and the tweezers (I just used household tweezers) small tie raps an a drill the con board ribbon cable is the only tricky bit really putting it back on was fidgety (a lot easier if you loosen the con board to put it back on) the rest is a breeze
I have flown it only for a short time compared to most and have panicked a few times but the info even blind on the app you simply cant go wrong if you keep it in P mode, ground height and direction are on your map as long as you take it slow you should be fine the only time ive found it nerve...
PHANTOM 3 mate I have never flown before and this thing is as easy to control (and failsafe) makes it a good investment for a beginner I have been flying for a few weeks and I love it ,its nowhere near as difficult to fly as my copter
your home insurance provider should do it I got mine for £11 a year on top of my policy for £2500 of cover anywhere as it counts as a camera :) I am with RBS in the uk (and it covers accidental loss or damage)
