I fly over water all the time with my P3P and have never turned the VPS off. 150 flights, no issues.

Any developments or news on this? I have a trip planned for early 2017 and would love to get everything in order before I go. Any info you could provide would be appreciated!!

May I ask you: did you fly into Thailand with the drone? I'm thinking of a trip there in January 2017 and have read a lot of conflicting info about whether or not they are permitted to enter the country via Bangkok airport.

Doesn't the green "tracking" path in the app still work even in ATTI mode and loss of video feed? Raining here so I can't go do a test for myself.

Let the update proceed until the little light on the gimbal stays green (it was flash red-green during the update). Ignore the beeps. My update took nearly 1/2 hour. (The beeps will change pattern, but the light is pretty obvious.)

Mine is on all the time. Never a single problem, although I do hand catch every flight.
