    Rule #1: Stay Calm

yep, hold altitude and evaluate, I learned that with my little quadcopter, I was doing a night flight at it got away from me a ways, I had to hold altitude and carefully check which way I was facing and then get my bearings straight and bring it home. Good save, the first ones always a learning...

    Landing gear question

The snap switch will be mounted to a gimbal guard, so the switch moving won't be an issue. I've thought of incorporating arduino into the system, but I would rather keep it as simple as possible

    Landing gear question

It's not an actual landing gear, it's a bracket that clips onto both vertical legs on one side, as well as the adjoining horizontal piece. https://www.shapeways.com/product/RBLU67AUA/bracket-ph4-support-for-legs?li=shareProduct

    Landing gear question

Got my P3A for Christmas (knew it was coming, but had to wait) and have been looking at some of the 3D printed offerings on shapeways that are SAR related (my wife and I are amateur storm chasers and I want to be prepared). I've seen several different pieces I'd like to get that attach to the...
