Pricing for a "typical" real estate shoot

A property development company looks for multi-acre tracts of raw land, hopefully with high density housing allowed- 9 houses per acre, for example. They come in and clear all the trees, survey it, put in the utilities and streets, and at that stage I take pictures of the development. Then, the...

Pricing for a "typical" real estate shoot

Where I live the average home is under 300,000. so I'm limited in how many high end homes are needing full packages (video, music, etc.) I am getting a lot more projects doing photos/videos for property development companies. I would love to charge $1000 for a 20 minute photo shoot with 30...

Pricing for a "typical" real estate shoot

I did this shoot with a Phantom 2 Vision + and edited in Microsoft Movie Maker back in 2015. It gives a basic idea of what a video that actually sold looks like. I now use a P3 Advanced that is much better for panning and yawing shots. The property sold in a week. Price- $1,000,000 U.S.

Pricing for a "typical" real estate shoot

Most real estate listings have a limit on photos, usually about 25 including interior. The realtor still needs the interior photos/video. With that in mind, my typical package is $200 + travel for 10-12 edited aerial photos and a 1-2 minute edited aerial video with no music. Sent from my iPad...

    Nervous pilot..

After you've lost a drone like I did, you tend to use the drone for taking cool photos and videos instead of just flying it out as far as you can. My advice- Suck it up, buttercup.

    EMF and RFI

I did a project in the Fraser Valley BC where I had to fly very near to huge power lines. I detected no interference in controlling the drone. Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots

    Avegant Glyph FPV

I just tried the Glyphs with my glasses on...work fine. As for the yawing with head tracking, I only tried the head tracking feature indoors, not flying. I'll test for yaw movement when the weather warms up a little. Sent from my iPad using PhantomPilots

    Avegant Glyph FPV

I am extremely happy with my Glyphs. It's like getting a new drone! First, the bad- if you need reading glasses you may not be able to focus the image. Also, they take some adjustments with the nosepiece and headband to get comfortable. So many good things though...excellent image with no lag in...

    P3 Advanced Transmitter Connection problems

I fixed this myself after going through all the steps everyone recommends, but wastes your time. It does involve buying/installing the Hdmi module upgrade (about $100, easy install). What has happened is the USB connector on the back of your remote has gone bad/burned out. New USB hub and a hdmi...

Controller USB wont start the DJI GO app

The USB port went bad. I went through exactly the same thing, then I ordered the HDMI upgrade module for 95 bucks, installed it in 10 minutes and everything works fine.

The moment Your realize you left your SD card at home

It was a rare sunny day here in the rainy Pacific Northwest. I drove for a hour, then hiked 30 minutes to a secluded bay (Nature Conservancy Land). I waited 30 minutes for a few people to leave, so as not to disturb the peace. Started the quad- no micro SD! Wait... I have a back up tablet that...

    Video issue

The Phantom needs to remain powered on for the videos to synchronize with your mobile device, so check after you land before you turn off the Phantom that all the videos have synched. Also, some mobile devices cannot support the synchronization of 1080i60 video files (per manual V1.1 page 58).
