You have to go into the software assistant and click on the Basic Tab, Click on RC and click "Upgraded" remote. Everything will work great!

My dogs could care less until I dressed it up for halloween and tested it in the back yard. They went NUTS!! Barking and chasing it but when I went toward them, they just ran and barked louder. Without the costume on it, they pay it no attention. :D
Same as MK. Turn on wifi on the go pro, open my go pro app on my phone or iPad and review it. Also like he said, don't forget to turn it off. Just a reminder, viewing your videos like this really eats the go pro battery so keep it short.
Yes, the new Vision is 5.8 so a 2.4 transmitter will not work. The video downlink is at 2.4. Since it already transmits video to an ios or android device, you wouldn't need a FPV transmitter. Just from what I can tell.
I ended up buying from Atlanta Hobby. They actually had the Phantoms on Ebay for $579 while they were still $679 on their site. The day I bought it, the price dropped to $479 on their website. One quick email and they refunded $100 back into my paypal in less than an hour no questions asked...
