Hindsight is 20/20, but if you had good controller signal you should have been able to press the RTH button on the controller.

I believe I have edited my rudder speed all the way to minimum but it's still difficult for me to do smooth yaws.

It's this law: Unsolicited Merchandise That keeps companies from sending you random items and then billing you for them. But if you *did* order something from Amazon but just received the wrong thing and/or too much, that might be a grey area.

The smooth turns that Litchi does are great too. If you tell it to do a 90-degree turn, it can smooth that out into a nice curve that would be very hard to do manually using the control sticks.

I'd say report it, but I believe I read that Amazon doesn't bother with returns for incorrect shipments. Probably costs them more to keep up with them than it's worth, and they supposedly never resell returned items. They all go to third parties for pennies on the dollar.

Yeah $20 is a lot, for an app. But $20 isn't much to spend when you're a Phantom 3 owner. I like Litchi for waypoint missions, you can design in the app or online at Mission Hub - Litchi Should work great on a Shield tablet, I generally find Litchi to be more stable than the DJI Go app...

During a Litchi mission you have no control except possibly speed. To fly a Litchi mission your controller mode switch has to be in the F position. To abort the mission move the mode switch back to P and the P3 will abort the mission and hover.

Yep this is worth repeating. Flip the switch on the controller to ATTI and you can fly the P3 much faster. Keep in mind though that in ATTI mode the P3 will only maintain altitude, not position. The wind will blow it unless you counteract it. Practice ATTI mode in a non-emergency situation...

Bricking doesn't seem to be a big concern. The main concerns with newer firmware are less power and more strict battery management (which *can* be a good thing in very cold weather) and more geofencing. FWIW I'm still on 1.4 and happy.

Play with the Litchi Mission hub, if you like that you will like the app.

In DJI Go app check your gimbal settings and see if it is set for FPV. If it's set for FPV, set it for Follow.

Video lost or app crash doesn't equal control signal lost. Check the light on your controller, if it is green you still have good control signal and the RC is still controlling the P3. Press and hold the RTH button on the controller if you lost visual and/or want it to come back.
