Thanks for the tip! I'm afraid I already bent the filter with pliers and won't be able to get it off without breaking the glass and cutting into the filter with a drill or tiny saw. I'm trying to find a repair person who is willing to do that, but I can't!

I'm having the same problem. I've literally tried every bit of advice on unscrewing this filter, and it won't budge. I've also taken it to 3 camera repair places with no luck. Did you ever get yours off?
