I didn't see anything unusual in your video. What you may be noticing is probably due to changes in the lighting. As the quad rises, more of the sky comes into the picture changing the exposure. The angle to the light changes. And there's more of the somewhat hazy sky between the camera and...
I'm not sure about other editors, but Adobe Premiere makes a temporary lower-res version of the video to use for previews while you are editing. Then, when you export the media, it uses the full-resolution files to create the final product. You'll sometimes see a message that Premiere is...
The P3 offers a lot of control over of the exposure settings. I usually leave it on Auto and touch the screen somewhere where the ground is shown to set the exposure based on the ground. This will leave the sky washed out, but usually looks okay.
But, you have a lot of other options...
I've posted a number of rocketry videos taken from my P2V and P3P on youtube. You can find my channel at:

Getting good video of model rocket launches is difficult because the rockets are small and they move quickly. My best advice is to film many launches and edit the video to...
I'm seeing the video drop out occassionally since the last update. Before the update, such drop outs were extremely rare. Now they happen during most every flight. I'm using a P3P with a Samsung Tab S tablet.

I just started seeing that with my P3P since applying the last update. Before that the vido was almost always rock solid. Since the recent firmware updates, I'm seeing it break-up as illustrated in a previous post and freeze fairly often.
The extended side-to-side motion of the gimbal may be required when the camera it is pointed downwards. In that case, the gimbal has to move side-to-side to counter the pitch and roll of the 'copter.
Sorry to hear that. If you have a CostCo nearby, they may have the 2000iQ in stock.
I've used my 2000i a few times now and I've very pleased with it.

I have two 50AH batteries and an inverter in the tongue box of our trailer (JonRocket.com Trailer by Roger Smith) which I use for recharging my P3P's batteries (as well as other things like running a fan on really hot Florida days). The battery setup works well (and is a lot quieter than a...
Did you purchase the quadcopter with a credit card? If so, check to see if your card offers "Purchase Protection." For example, American Express offers accidental damage insurance for the first 90 days after purchase of most items you buy with the card.

I recently bought a Smarter Tools 2000W inverter generator at Costco. It's similar to the ones from Honda and Yamaha, but much less expensive. The engine is actually made by Yamaha. So, far I'm very pleased with it.
I'm reviving this old thread because it's interesting to see how much my videos have improved since I made my first quadcopter rocketry video with a P2V back in 2013.
Here's the old video as posted in the first message in this thread:
And here is a recent one filmed with a P3P:
It's also...
I'm feeling a bit jealous. Not because the FAA hasn't paid attention to my videos, but because the computers I use in government facilities block access to Facebook and YouTube.
