Any RC model that doesn't fly is very recoverable. For flying all airplanes are more reliable then quadcopters. The reason this is true is because all quads need a computer inside to help you control it. Now think about this: has anybody ever had a computer that didn't have a glitch/malfunction...
I have and used a Cam One Infinity action camera. It's a competitor of the GoPro 2 with similar features but its only 60 gm, has a LCD screen on back, has a protective case and many connector options, even tripod threaded hole on camera itself as we'll as on the case. Oh and you can buy extra...
You're right I would be REAL surprised for the price to be that high. The Walkera site list the BNF as $299. I bought this version from
Walkerahelicoptersupply for more at $325 + $25 shipping because they had it. Are you trying to tell me that a radio, battery, and charger are going to add up to...
Right now there is a major change in the quad copter market. Next month there will be available three other 350 size quadcopters at a little more than half the price of the Phantom. There is the Blade 350 QX, the Walkera X350, and the latest I just heard about is the Ideal Fly Apollo. I have no...
I would vote for the MQX. I think the Nano would be too easy. In fact the Phantom is too easy in GPS and ATTI mode. Sometime in the future you may want or need to fly the Phantom in Manual Mode and you'll be prepared.
Good idea. If you lose control in GPS mode that means any function that uses GPS will not work. RTH and HL use the GPS to come back to home. In your situation CL in ATTI mode would have been the best choice. In the future with more experience you might want to practice MANUAL mode.
ATTI mode doesn't use GPS but it must use the compass because the CL function is available for ATTI. Also don't forget the altitude sensor. What would happen if altitude sensor reported bad data to the Naza?
Also the GPS and compass are some how interrelated because a user reported some kind of...
