Android, Yes :) Though it only lists coordinates and altitude. Doesn't list the state of the drone.

One had connector ripped off when it crashed in water tank, so I had to replace it anyway. Otherwise they look identical (and got identical markings). I assume one is RC signal, the other is video. Flew two batteries just before, much better, got it to 130 metres away, 340 feet up, still...

So... I got it open: P3SE has three wires going into the landing gear legs: if you look at the battery, the nearest right leg has the compass sensor, with 4-wire ribbon going up to the main board. The far right and nearest left legs got the grey and black coaxial cables, ending in a PCB-trace...

it "landed" onto a tank, and slid down the side 😃 wasn't a flyaway. yes, i was surprised how intoletant Phantom to cheap aliexpress props - all over the place. These are originals, dirty, but serviceable.

Thank you for all suggestions. Today I tried to fly again, same story, intermittent loss of connection with recovery after flicking GPS/ATTI switch a few times. Until after one of the connection losses it crashed into a water tank and gimbal assembly got detached completely (rubbers gave up)...

I bought it second hand of course :) The camera differences could be in software ? Also had a chat with another drone enthusiast, he suggested checking antennas (apparently the remote external "stick" antenna may have coax inside worn/broken). Checked inside remote, couldn't see anything...

Tried to fly more, but windy today. It tends not to have much luck fighting the wind either ! Generally feels "flakey" and unstable. And intermittent loss of signal, just makes it unfliable.

How did you get it off ? Btw, my profile pic - not pine tree though.. that one ended with me angrily climbing with a hand saw and cutting the blimmin' branch !

It looks identical to P3 Standard, though may be different inside: the specs for the camera say P3S is 2.7K and P3SE is 4k.

So... the long story: Half a year or so ago, this P3SE decided to return home through a pine tree, ripped the gimbal off (broke the roll arm and the destroyed ribbon cable). I spent a few nights trying to rebuild gimbal using P3S gimbal's parts, but unsuccessfully, as it still dangles...

Before pairing with transmitter it offered me to update to 1.5.40, so i did. Doesn't P3SE use gimbal board to connect to RC, unlike P3S, that has two ceramic "square" antennas in body, next to the battery? Also weather is absolute rubbish today, so can't do test flying.

Live view is on and off (gimbal just dangling there randomly). I'll have a play tomorrow with frequencies.
