Yes it shows 24 hours of forecast forever, for free. Also I think it's a bit cheaper if you pay through the uavforecast.com site instead of on your phone.

Yes, I keep an eye on the UAV Forecast app... best not to fly if you see high Kp. Might be good to fly, might not.

You can just change the wind altitude in the Settings.

I use UAV Forecast and don't fly if it's more than 15mph at the altitude I'm flying to.

UAV Forecast just released an update on Android that shows a lot more airports, heliports and stuff. It's better than Hover. Probably iOS too soon, they usually update the app pretty quickly.
